Complaints
A report of four kids on bikes in traffic at 2:47 p.m. Friday at Atlantic Avenue and Essex Street. A caller reported he drove in via Atlantic Avenue to the National Grand on Pleasant Street and saw four kids on bikes riding in and out of traffic without any regard. The caller said the group was last seen in the lot of the bank doing the same bike tricks
A report of a door pushed in at 3:46 p.m. Friday on Merritt Street. A woman walked into the station to report she lives in the upstairs unit of the building and found her apartment door pushed in. She contacted her landlord who told her to call the police. There have been several workers in the building and it was unclear of one of them did it.
A report of money taken from the house at 12:02 p.m. Saturday on Cherry Street. A caller reported he was in his cellar inspecting something with a chimney worker when he heard someone “walk into house, walk across the floor and then leave.” He discovered shortly after that money had been taken from his wallet.
Theft
A report of a stolen package at 4:12 p.m. Friday on Marion Road. A caller reported someone stole a package that USPS delivered that morning. Her postman told her it happened to someone else on the street as well. The caller later told police the package was delivered to the wrong address and it was not stolen.
Vandalism
A report of vandalism at 7:14 p.m. Friday on Kenneth Road. A caller reported she came home and found her side window smashed with glass everywhere. Police responded to the possible house break; at 10:10 a.m. Saturday on Waterside Road. A picture window was reportedly broken overnight. The caller reported being out until midnight and discovering a 4-inch hole in the glass that morning.
