Katherina Alves, 24, was arrested and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, carjacking, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at 8:08 a.m. Thursday.

Robert Baggs, 31, of 28 Bristow St., Saugus, was arrested and charged with OUI drugs and Class A drug possession at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday.

Caller reported breaking and entering of two motor vehicles on Wednesday at 2:54 p.m. at 972 Main St. and 17 Pine Hill Road. Officer took report.

Officer requested on Wednesday at 8:13 p.m. at 1 Carpenter Road. Officer reports water department was notified.

Caller reported an erratic driver on Summer Street on Thursday at 5:56 a.m. Officer reports unable to locate vehicle.

False Alarms

A 911 hang up call was received on Wednesday at 3:46 p.m. from 8 Kimball Lane. Officer reports everything is OK.

911 call received from 3 Stafford Road on Wednesday at 9:34 p.m. Officer confirmed call was an accident.

False burglar alarm reported on Thursday at 6:33 a.m. at Gaslight Lynnfield at 1100 Market St. Officer reports door unsecured, but checks out OK.

Accidental burglar alarm at 34 Brook Drive on Thursday at 7:47 a.m.

Medical Aid

Ambulance requested for an 86-year-old disoriented man at 9 Atherton Circle on Wednesday at 7:31 p.m. Patient taken to the hospital.

Report of a man who fell at Williams Sonoma at 1310 Market St. on Wednesday at 7:34 p.m. Caller reports man is now sitting on a bench. Patient taken to the hospital.

Caller reported her husband vomiting on Thursday at 12:11 a.m. at 37 Doncaster Circle. Patient taken to the hospital.

Ambulance requested for an elderly man feeling unwell at 406 Essex Village on Thursday at 1:06 a.m. Patient taken to the hospital.



A report of a hit and run motor vehicle crash at Smith Street and Atlantic Avenue at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday; on Pleasant Street at 4:32 p.m. on Wednesday.


A walk-in reported at 1:35 p.m. on Wednesday that an unknown number called her and told her she won a $500 check. She stated they would be calling back to obtain more information from her but police advised her against doing so.

A caller reported a contractor hit a gas line at Maple Circle at 1:44 p.m. on Wednesday. National Grid was notified and they stated there was a small active leak which they cleared at 2:21 p.m. on Wednesday.

A caller reported his handicap placard was stolen at Fountain Inn Lane at 2:14 p.m. on Wednesday.

A walk-in reported at 4:19 p.m. on Wednesday that he had a ring valued at $30,000 that was gone from his home shortly after he had painters there.



Curt A. Porcher, 48, of 2 Munroe Court, was summoned on Wednesday at 9:50 p.m. following a traffic stop at 68 Lynn St. and 2 Cedar Ave. and charged with operating an uninsured, unregistered motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Elizete Machado, 49, of 15 Bowditch St., was summoned on Thursday at 12:09 p.m. following a traffic stop at 55 Gardner St. and charged with not having a license while operating an unregistered motor vehicle. Car towed by Phil’s Towing.

Jaqueline Cruz, 39, was summoned on Thursday at 2 p.m. following a traffic stop at Gardner Road and Abington Avenue and charged with speeding and the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Arn Cheang, 52, was summoned on Thursday at 2:34 p.m. following a traffic stop at the Hallmark Building at 215 Newbury St. and charged with operating a motor vehicle without insurance.


A report of a pedestrian accident at 92 Walnut St. and 2 Mt. Vernon St. on Wednesday at 4:46 p.m. Officer reports road closed and victim taken to the North Shore Medical Center. Officer will be conducting interview with victim.

Caller struck a parked car at 124 Washington St. and 2 Parsons St. on Thursday at 8:41 a.m. Motor vehicle one was towed by Phil’s Towing.

Motor vehicle crash reported on Thursday at 9:45 a.m. at 155 Andover St. and 2 Loris St. Massachusetts State Police and Phil’s Towing are on scene. Officer will document.

Hit and run crash that happened on Nov. 28 at 5 p.m. was reported on Thursday at noon at Liberty Tax Service at 36F Walnut St. Owner has video showing crash, license plate is not shown. Officer reports there’s a possible suspect and will follow up.

Report of a motor vehicle into the building at 92 Shore Drive on Thursday at 1:14 p.m. Building inspector has been contacted and is on scene. The apartment struck was condemned by the inspector. The rest of the units appear to be OK. The operator was issued a ticket for failure to use care when stopping. The officer will file an immediate threat notice with the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

Animal Control

Walk-in reports his Chihuahua, Bill, went missing on Thursday at 11:39 a.m. Officer reports description matches that of a dog located by the Animal Control officer in Salem. Party was given directions to retrieve dog.


Caller reported Massachusetts license no. 47LH98 has been swerving on County Street for several miles on Wednesday at 5:42 p.m. Officer reports vehicle was stopped in the Holden’s Parking Lot and all is OK.

Disabled motor vehicle reported on Wednesday at 6:40 p.m. at 593 Lowell St. Officer reports motor vehicle was towed by Gaeta’s Towing and operator issued a ticket for expired registration and license.

Father from 1 Reynolds Road reports his 11-year-old daughter is arguing with her mother on Thursday at 1:35 a.m. Officer reports the argument is over the child not wanting to go to bed. The child was in bed upon the officer’s arrival.

Caller from 64 Foster St., Apt. 102, reported she has been unable to reach her mother for more than a week and is concerned. Officer spoke with reporting party’s mother on Thursday at 6:44 a.m. who said she’s been asleep and all is OK.

Disabled motor vehicle reported at 312 Lowell St. and Route 128 South. Officer reports a family member has arrived, still waiting on tow truck.

Dispute between a father and son over a car was reported on Thursday at 8:38 a.m. at Luso American Credit Union at 37 Tremont St. Officer reports all is OK.

Unwanted man reported on Tuesday at 11:02 a.m. at the Lower Level Spine Center at 1 Orthopedics Drive. Officer reports Anthony Spaziani, 38, was told he is no longer welcome at that location.

Officer reported a car hood on the sidewalk Thursday at 11:19 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Drive and Rockdale Park. The Department of Public Works was contacted.

Caller reports his motor vehicle was broken into on Thursday at 1:34 p.m. while parked at the Peabody District Court. He reports no forced entry but checkbook and $800 were stolen.

A caller reported he discovered what he believed to be human remains just north of Revere in Rumney Marsh at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday. Detectives responded and later reported they appeared to have been deer remains.

An Essex Street resident reported a suspicious male on her patio at 11:02 a.m. Tuesday. She laid on the floor, as instructed by her pastor if anyone was ever at her back door. First responders provided lift assistance.

A report of wires down at Essex and Felton streets at 1:26 p.m. Tuesday.

A resident walked into the station to report that all four of his truck tires and rims had been removed from his vehicle while it was parked on Ballard Street at 6:49 p.m. Tuesday.
