Brian A. Hancock, 60, of 33 Waterside Road, Apt. A, was arrested and charged with OUI liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation at 11:05 p.m. Tuesday.
Assaults
A report of an alleged assault at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday on Franklin Street. Police reported the incident happened in Salem and will be referred to Salem Police.
Complaints
A caller reported at 10:46 a.m. Tuesday on Atlantic Avenue there was a work crew setting up dumpsters and ladders. The crew reportedly didn’t have work permits and were blocking the sidewalks. Police reported the crew shut down and would head over to the town’s fire department and selectmen’s office.
A report of an unknown alarm sounding at 5:59 p.m. Tuesday on Farrell Court. A caller reported hearing an alarm sounding in the area, which had been going off for about 10 minutes and didn’t sound like a fire alarm. Police reported nothing sounding with someone telling an officer that it was an alarm clock coming from an apartment unit.
A report of a neighbor dispute at 6:51 p.m. Tuesday on Pequot Road. A caller reported he was having an ongoing issue with a neighbor and thought the neighbor “snapped” his drainage pipe. He reportedly didn’t have any proof who did it, but it was unearthed that day and he had ongoing issues with a neighbor regarding drainage in the past.
A caller reported an erratic operator at 7:17 p.m. Tuesday on Maple Street, who was speeding, tailgating and almost rear-ended someone.
A caller reported she accidentally put diesel fuel in her car instead of regular and it had stalled in front of the station at 9:59 p.m. Tuesday on Gerry Street. The car was pushed to the side of the road by police and towed.
