LYNN — Two Lynn Police officers were injured after their cruiser was rear-ended by a driver who ran away from the scene on Sunday night.
The crash, around 7:30 p.m., occurred in front of the Lynn Police Station on Washington Street where the officers were stopped at a red light, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
The female driver left her Toyota 4Runner at the scene and ran away. The officers were treated at Salem Hospital for minor injuries, Kmiec said.
The incident is under investigation by the Lynn Police Traffic Department.
