Gene Arnould, owner of Arnould Gallery & Framery, is partnering with the Marblehead Arts Association for a new jazz series.
Arnould was the founder and producing director of the Summer Jazz series, which ended in 2014. This new series, called “Gene Arnould presents Jazz at the Arts,” promises to resurrect the town’s interest in great music.
The first performance of the series will feature singer Cassandre McKinley, pianist Tim Ray, bassist Bob Nielsen, and drummer Dave Mattacks, four artists well-known within Marblehead. It will take place Thursday, Nov. 15, 7-10 p.m., at the King Hooper Mansion, 8 Hooper St.
“The Marblehead Arts Association is excited to partner with Gene Arnould for this event. We look forward to expanding our arts programming into more performing arts with this musical series,” said MAA Director Patti DiCarlo Baker.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person. There will be a beer and wine bar, snacks and a 15-minute intermission.
A limited number of tickets will be sold. They can be purchased by visiting Arnould Gallery, 111 Washington St., calling 781-631-6366 or visiting marbleheadarts.org/event/jazz-evening.
