A caller reported an unattended child in a car for an extended period at South Street and Waldron Street at 2:16 p.m. on Wednesday. She stated she thinks the parents live nearby. Responding officers arrived to the child safe inside the house with its parents.
A caller reported at 3:14 p.m. on Wednesday that their Halloween decoration on Pleasant Street was drawing too much attention and they were concerned about the large media vehicles. They stated they were uncertain whether or not a bus would be able to get through the street and they were seeking guidance from a police officer.
A caller reported that she and her husband were receiving phone calls about a dog around the Tower School, on Gerry Street, which she stated she knows nothing about. She stated she lives in Nahant and was very confused by the multiple calls.
A caller reported speeding cars going up Brookhouse Drive at 6:05 p.m. on Wednesday. They stated they were concerned about the large number of young trick-or-treaters on that street.
A caller reported kids with dozens of eggs at 8:19 p.m. on Wednesday. They stated the kids were “looking for a house” near Hawkes and Lindsey streets. Responding officers found no kids with eggs at the scene.
A caller reported a large group of males about to fight at Pleasant Street at 9:12 p.m. on Wednesday. Responding officers found no issues at the scene, just people smoking.
A caller reported a disturbing encounter involving her four-year-old daughter while they were trick or treating at Commercial Street at 9:17 p.m. on Wednesday.
A caller reported at 11:34 p.m. on Wednesday that he received wet candy from Commercial Street and when he went to eat it, it started burning his mouth. He called back Thursday morning at 6:19 a.m. and stated the candy was likely wet from motorists going through a large puddle directly in front of his residence.
