SWAMPSCOTT — Early voting for the Nov. 6 state election begins on Monday.
All registered voters are allowed to vote before Election Day until Nov. 2 in person at Town Hall, located at 22 Monument Ave., or by mail.
Early voting hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday, Oct. 22 to Thursday, Oct. 25 and Monday, Oct. 29 to Thursday, Nov. 1; and 8 a.m. to noon on Friday, Oct. 26 and Friday, Nov. 2. The town will offer weekend voting hours on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Registered voters have the option to request an early voting ballot through the mail by filling out an application and mailing it to: Swampscott Town Clerk’s office, 22 Monument Ave., Swampscott, MA, 01907.

Unlike absentee voting, early voting is for every registered voter. Registered voters do not need an excuse or reason to vote early.
Absentee voting is available for registered qualified voters who are: absent from their city or town on Election Day; have a disability preventing them from going to the polls; or have a religious belief preventing the same.
