Arrests

Andre Brown, 30, of 46 Veterans Memorial Drive, Peabody, was arrested and charged with violation of the city knife ordinance, fugitive from justice on court, failure to wear a seat belt and on warrant charges of Class B drug possession, Class C drug possession, operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license, no inspection/sticker and allowing improper operation of a motor vehicle at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday.

Richard Markee, of 100 Willow St., was arrested on warrant charges of marked lanes violation at 6:08 p.m. Tuesday.

Matthew McCular, 33, of 14 Nichols Ave., was arrested and charged with unregistered motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle/trailer, passing violation, operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license and on a warrant at 3:48 p.m. Tuesday.

Accidents

A caller reported someone driving a rental car hit his truck on Pleasant Street at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

A caller reported a parked car was hit at Hereford Road at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

A caller reported a motorist struck her parked car on Pleasant Street at 4:49 p.m. on Tuesday.

A report of a minor motor vehicle crash at Atlantic Avenue at 5:34 p.m. on Tuesday.

Complaints

A caller reported a tractor trailer unloading on Atlantic Avenue, in front of Yankee Doodler, and it was blocking the travel lane at 12:35 p.m. on Tuesday.

A caller reported an illegally parked car at Atlantic Avenue and Central Street that made it hard for other vehicles to pass at 12:59 p.m. on Tuesday.

A walk-in reported at 1:17 p.m. on Tuesday that a ring was stolen during an open house, between Sept. 2 and Oct. 12, on Bayview Road.

A caller reported vehicles speeding up and down Tedesco Street and Longview Drive at 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday. The caller stated she was almost struck by three vehicles.

A caller reported she watched a car “blow by” the crossing guard at West Shore Drive and Cornell Road at 2:37 p.m. on Tuesday. The caller stated the driver came very close to striking the crossing guard and was able to provide officers with a description. Responding officers spoke with the erratic driver and advised her to pay better attention.

A walk-in reported at 2:54 p.m. on Tuesday that the “man with the sign” was at Atlantic Avenue and Commercial Street. They stated the sign was hate speech but officers advised it is the man’s Constitutional right to hold the sign.

A caller reported three men walking up Atlantic Avenue toward Hawkes Street at 2:59 p.m. on Tuesday. The caller stated “he has seen them all over town and has never seen them in 40 years.” He stated they have done nothing wrong but he thinks it is odd.

A caller reported a noisy truck on Atlantic Avenue that was cleaning up the beach. She stated at 4:04 p.m. on Tuesday that the truck was giving her a headache. Officers advised her that the time of day was not unreasonable for a truck to be working at the beach.

A caller reported there were about six kids on a golf cart speeding up the tracks at Richard Road and Elizabeth Road going toward the post office at 7:31 p.m. on Tuesday.

PEABODY

Arrests

Taryn N. Morrissey, 39, of 10 Howard St., Apt. 35, Salem was arrested on Tuesday at 3:08 p.m. and charged with possession of a Class E substance, and shoplifting from 7-Eleven at 115 Main St.

Leonardo Claudio Forte, 54, of 135 Ward St., Apt. 112, Revere was arrested on Wednesday at 1:27 p.m. following a traffic stop at 36 Bartholomew St. and 2 Bartholomew Terrace and charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle with a revoked license and registration.

Summons

Sandra Niz, 24, of 571 Western Ave. was issued a summons to appear in court following a traffic stop at the Peabody School Administration building at 27 Lowell St. on Wednesday at 1:13 p.m. and charged with the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Accidents

A motor vehicle crash was reported on Wednesday at 5:36 a.m. at Route 128 and Forest Street. All parties declined ambulance. Officer reports one operator was cited for a red light violation.

On Wednesday at 8:04 a.m. a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries at 286 Washington St. and 2 Granite St. One party was taken to the North Shore Medical Center.

Man walked in the police station on Wednesday at 3:16 p.m. to report his vehicle was broken into and a $460 iPad was stolen near 30 Tremont St. in Salem. The Salem Police Department was asked to check the area.

Party stopped an officer to report a past hit and run crash.

Complaints

Report of a threat with a bat at East End Veterans Memorial Park on Walnut Street on Tuesday at 3:50 p.m. Officer reports party did not have a bat, the argument was verbal. Officer will document.

A well-being check was requested on Tuesday at 4:43 p.m. at Stop & Shop Supermarket on Howley Street for a party that was passed out in a motor vehicle in the parking lot. Officer reports party was sleeping and did not need medical assistance.

Caller reported an unwanted party on Tuesday at 5:29 p.m. at 16 Fulton St. Officer spoke with both parties who said they had an argument over work that needed to be done. Parties separated for the night and officer will document.

Neighbors complained about construction work being done on Harrison Avenue on Tuesday at 7:54 p.m. Officer reports owner was fixing a window.

Caller reported a homeless person sleeping in the lobby at the Peabody Housing Authority at 75 Central St. on Tuesday at 9:38 p.m. Officer reports man was sent on his way.

Report of a drunk man in his 30s, in a green shirt, begging for cash at Best Gas on Newbury Street on Tuesday at 11:21 p.m. Officer reports man was gone upon arrival.

J&H Truck Repair on Newbury Street reported a man in a blue jacket and green shirt is harassing customers and refused to leave on Wednesday at 12:49 a.m. Officer reports man was gone upon arrival.

Caller reported someone backed their truck up at the pond on Lake Street and is about to launch a boat with a gas powered engine on Wednesday at 11:53 a.m. Officer reports boat could not be located.

Vandalism

Caller from 235 Lynnfield St. reported a motor vehicle struck his mailbox and drove off on Tuesday at 6:44 p.m. Peabody Fire Department responded due to damage to fire hydrant.

Wendy S. Herne, 52, of 16 Pleasant St. Apt. 2, Revere, was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice on a court warrant and warrant charges.

Michael R. Corning, 36, of 100 Colonial Dr. Apt. 11, Ipswich, was arrested and charged with shoplifting more than $250 by asportation.

Jason J. Bakoian, 36, of 18 Sunset Rd., Nahant, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class A drug and violating an abuse prevention order.

William A. Crowley, 31, of 70 Constitution Ave., was arrested on warrant charges.

A caller from Salvation Army on Broadway reported the store received threats by means of a gun over the phone at 4:21 p.m. Tuesday.
