Revere man charged with distributing fentanyl

BOSTON – A Revere man faces charges of distributing fentanyl, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Jassiel Ramirez, 23, was charged in U.S. District Court Thursday with one count of distribution of 40 grams or more of fentanyl.

Police say Ramirez sold the deadly drug in and around the Princeton Crossing apartment complex in Salem in September.

He faces a minimum mandatory sentence of five years and up to 40 years in prison, at least four years of probation, and a fine of up to $5 million.
