A caller reported she witnessed a man on a bike who appeared unsteady on his feet near Pleasant and Lafayette streets at 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday. The caller stated they thought the man was either intoxicated or having a medical problem. Responding officers said the described man was gone upon their arrival.
A caller reported at 12:50 p.m. on Tuesday that a student had two knives in his backpack on Friday and was unsure of how they got there. Chief Robert Picariello said the knives were actually butter knives and were allegedly put in the student’s backpack from the home economics classroom as a prank.
A walk-in reported she thought her earrings were stolen at her client’s house on Elm Street at 1:23 p.m. on Tuesday.
A caller reported at 4:09 p.m. on Tuesday that he parked his trailer about 50 feet from his house and someone flattened the tires. They said this was the third time it happened and the suspect must be the person who recently called the police complaining about the way the trailer was parked.
A walk-in reported receiving scam mail at 4:19 p.m. on Tuesday. They stated it was from a “secret society” and told the resident not to tell anyone about it.
A caller reported he was robbed on Kenneth Road at 5:32 p.m. on Tuesday. Chief Robert Picariello said it is still under investigation and there are no further details at this time.
A caller reported they live in another unit on Ocean Avenue and they can hear noises in a residence even though they know the owner is on vacation in Italy. Responding officers found no one at the scene.
A caller reported an erratic operator on Pleasant and Humphrey streets who was weaving in and out of traffic at 7:33 p.m. on Tuesday. Responding officers found the driver, who happened to be driving a construction truck, and spoke with him.

Mom called back to say daughter left on foot and is no longer trying to take the vehicle and said she will call back if assistance is needed. Officer reports no answer at the door upon arrival.
A 15-year-old girl was reported missing on Tuesday at 4:52 p.m. The student at the Higgins Middle School is new from Texas. She left a note that says she is running away. A be on the lookout was issued. Officers checked the mall, the Walmart parking lot, and condo common areas. Officer reported being with the teen on Washington Street. She was taken to the police station lobby and reunited with family.

Mother of a 5-month-old called on Tuesday at 9:25 p.m. to report she has sole custody of her child and allowed father to take the baby at noon for the child’s doctor appointment. Father said he is en route to New York with child, without mother’s permission. Police pinged his cell phone and the suspect is in the Bronx. Officer reports he contacted child’s father who said he is visiting his mother and will return Wednesday morning. An officer was denied an arrest warrant by a judge who said wait until Wednesday and confirm father and child have returned. Officer reports the child and father returned from New York on Wednesday at 10:54 a.m. Mother and child reunited.
