The Marblehead golf team had a big day at Tedesco Country Club Tuesday afternoon, rolling to a win over Northeastern Conference foe Peabody, 59 1/2-12 1/2.
Brendan Locke earned medalist honors with a score of 36, which was good enough to win his match 7-2. Other winners for Marblehead were Finn Keaney (9-0), Ben Brennan (8 1/2-1/2), Ben Gansenberg (8 1/2-1/2), Sam Thompson (8-1), Ben Weed (7-2), Gavin Lundgren (6-3) and Will Cleary (5 1/2-3 1/2).
The Magicians (8-2-1) will play on the road Wednesday against Gloucester at Bass Rocks Golf Club.
GOLF
Classical 42, Everett 30
The Rams got wins from Aidan Seitz, Jack Calnan, Brian Clougherty, Owen Downey and James Wilkins Tuesday. Brendan Lannon, Andrew Patrie and Brett Bucklin also played well in the win.
Classical (10-2) hosts Revere Wednesday at Gannon Golf Club.
St. Mary’s 183, Arlington Catholic 136
St. Mary’s was once again led by the Emmerich brothers, with Christian Emmerich putting up a match-high 34 points and Aidan Emmerich scoring 30 points.
Also playing well for the Spartans was Luke Smith (26 points), Nick Cicolini (26 points), Sean Mathers (24 points), Luke Sargent (23 points) and Owen Maguire (19 points).
The Spartans (13-2, 12-0 CCL) host Gloucester Thursday at Gannon Golf Club.
Salem 50 1/2, Saugus 21 1/2
Salem got wins from Casey Williamson (8-1), Ethan Doyle (7 1/2-1 1/2), Nick Angeramo (7-2), Bobby Jellison (7-2), Tommy Harrington (6-3), Troy Zipper (5 1/2-3 1/2) and Tim Desmond (5-4).
The Witches (13-2) host Beverly Wednesday at Olde Salem Greens.
Swampscott 47 1/2, Medford 24 1/2
The Big Blue earned a solid win on the road at Unicorn Golf Course. Winners for Swampscott were Aidan Tierney (7 1/2-1 1/2), Aidan Graciale (7-2), Brendan Sheehan (7-2), Max Pegnato (6 1/2-2 1/2), Nate Stern (6-3) and Ryan Graciale (5 1/2-3 1/2).
Swampscott (9-2-1) hosts Danvers Wednesday at Tedesco.
VOLLEYBALL
Peabody 3, Salem 1
Peabody earned the win with set scores of 25-9, 20-25, 25-10, 25-14.
Tatiana Correia had 19 service points and five aces, while Rachel Coleman had 22 assists and four kills. Ava LaValle, Olivia Kiricoples and Alexa Flewelling combined for 21 kills in the victory.
Classical 3, Northeast 0
The Rams earned a clean sweep with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-11.
Pamela Diaz had a big game with 18 service points and seven aces. Shanelle Belmer-Barry led the team in kills with seven, while Skyler Crayton and Jean Gupton each had five kills. Amber Crayton had five kills and seven assists, while Maggie McHale added three kills and two blocks and Keysha Chevannes had seven assists.
Classical (10-2) qualified for the state tournament with the win and will play on the road against Saugus Wednesday.
Tewksbury 3, Marblehead 2
The Magicians came up just short in a tough five-setter, falling by set scores of 23-25, 25-23, 25-19, 21-25, 9-15.
Izzy Curtin had a massive game for Marblehead, recording an incredible 45 assists in the loss. Jordan Heafitz had 12 kills, while Kika Ludovica had nine kills. Anna Arbo had 24 digs, while Abby Schwartz had 19 digs.
Marblehead (8-5) plays Everett Thursday.
Lynnfield 3, North Andover 2
After dropping the opening set, the Pioneers fought back for a five-set win on the road. The set scores were 24-26, 25-23, 25-23, 18-25, 15-13.
Sofia Ciriello had a big game with 24 digs and three aces, while Melissa Morelli had a complete game with 17 kills, 12 assists and 11 digs. Sam Lebruska had 13 kills and 17 digs.
BOYS SOCCER
Lynnfield 5, Triton 0
Behind goalkeeper Jack Campell’s shutout in net, the Pioneers notched a solid road win.
Tommy Hauser led the offensive attack for Lynnfield with two goals. Matt Juliano, Jack Bird and Fadi Dhahib each scored one goal- the first varsity goal for each of them.
Lynnfield (10-1) hosts North Reading Thursday.

The Spartans grabbed two out of three wins on the day after recording three finishers in the top 10 of a quad meet.
St. Mary’s featured the overall winner of the match in Tabon Manyok, who ran a season-best 16:53 to record his second win of the season. Also finishing in the top 10 for St. Mary’s were Mike Carroll in fifth place (18:55) and Anthony D’Itria in seventh place (19:15).
The Spartans host Bishop Fenwick and Matignon in a tri-meet next Tuesday.
FIELD HOCKEY
Marblehead 4, Revere 1
Bryan Burton led the way for Marblehead with one goal and one assist, while Amanda Schillinger, Madi Monahan and Jette Arts each had one goal. Bella Corsini and Robin Arts each had one assist.
