Steven Garcia, 32, of 466 Columbia Road, Dorchester, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property under $1,200 at 4 a.m. on Thursday.

Tarnue Koimene, of 84 Cabot St., Beverly, was arrested on warrant charges of a marked lanes violation, operating under the influence of drugs, and speeding at 3:41 p.m. on Thursday.

Jammy Van, 29, of 78 Highland St., Revere, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drugs at 3:37 p.m. on Thursday.

A larceny at Sunrise Assisted Living at 55 Salem St. was reported on Thursday at 1:55 p.m.

Medical aid requested on Thursday at 2:55 p.m. at the Whole Foods Market at 100 Market St. Officer reports patient was taken to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

A suspicious man, about 6 feet tall with a black baseball cap and dark sweatshirt was reported on Vokes Terrace on Thursday at 11:53 p.m. Officer reports area was checked but could not locate suspect.

On Friday morning from 6:24-7:36 a.m. a series of motor vehicle overnight break-ins was reported at 18 and 42 Maple St., 3 and 44 Grove St., 54 Brook Drive, and 42 Maple St.



A report of a motor vehicle crash at Atlantic Avenue and Barnard Street at 10:52 a.m. on Thursday; on Pleasant Street at 2:11 a.m. on Friday.


A caller reported a Bill’s Auto driver goes by his home on Washington Street every morning and throws metal at and near his truck. At 9:44 a.m. on Thursday, the caller and the driver got into a verbal argument.

A walk-in reported she was driving onto Maple Street last week and the light was yellow and she stated the crossing guard suddenly stepped out in front of her and forced her to brake quickly. She stated she was not going fast and was surprised by his actions. She stated on Thursday morning she was a pedestrian and was talking to the crossing guard when the light turned yellow and he suddenly stepped out into traffic again. She stated she yelled at him to stop but it appeared he did not hear her. The responding officer stated they were already aware of the situation.

A bartender from an establishment on Pleasant Street called to report a female at the bar who had too much to drink. The caller stated she was not causing a disturbance but she would be unable to take care of herself if she were to leave by herself. Officers responded and had her transported to North Shore Medical Center in Salem.

A caller reported at 3:20 p.m. on Thursday that his computer was hacked and money was taken from his bank, which activated a number of fraud alerts.

A caller reported boys on bikes riding on the tennis courts at Wyman Road and causing damage to the nets at 3:23 p.m. on Thursday. Responding officers spoke to the only boy on a bike in the area and he denied riding on the courts or causing any damage.

A walk-in came in at 4:26 p.m. on Thursday with her daughter and asked to speak to someone regarding bullying in the high school. She was advised about a harassment protection order.

Multiple calls reported a neighbor on Elm Street screaming for help and saying something about her leg being stuck at 10:11 p.m. on Thursday. Responding crews requested the Health Department because they believed the structure is unsafe for her to stay in. She was transported to a hospital and her house was deemed unsafe to live in.



A single-car crash with airbag deployment was reported on Wednesday at 4:45 p.m. at 437 Lowell St. Officer reports vehicle struck a pothole and damaged the guard rail at 441 Lowell St. Vehicle towed by Gaeta’s Towing.

A hit and run crash was reported on Thursday at 12:58 a.m. at Bill & Bob’s Roast Beef at 2 Central St. Officer reports vehicle fled toward Salem. Salem Police Department contacted and vehicle was stopped on Essex Street. Party said they did not know they struck the other vehicle. Officer assist with paperwork exchange.

A two-car motor vehicle crash was reported on Thursday at 7:25 a.m. at 96 Washington St. and 2 Clement Ave. Officer reports no injuries or tows.

On Thursday at 11:57 a.m. a motor vehicle crash was reported at 58 Wallis St. Officer reports paperwork exchanged.

A three-car motor vehicle crash was reported on Thursday at 12:37 p.m. at Brother’s Deli on Main Street. Officer reports Arrington Service en route for tow.

Animal Control

Animal Control officer reported a citation warning for barking, and owning unlicensed and unvaccinated dogs was mailed to Emily Milewska at 18 Sarahs Way on Thursday at 1:52 p.m.

Caller reported she found a stray cat on Thursday at 2:46 p.m. She was advised to place the cat where she found it.


A Hertz Car Rental agent reported a vehicle never returned on Wednesday at 4:43 p.m. Officer will document.

Enterprise Car Rental reported a former employee stole a car from a dealership in Danvers on Wednesday at 4:45 p.m. Caller said the party lives at 24 Veterans Memorial Drive and believes the car is there. The Danvers Police Department checked the area twice and could not find the vehicle.

Larceny by check was reported on Wednesday at 4:52 p.m. at the Congress Construction Co. at 2 Bourbon St. Officer will document.

Report of a vehicle spun out of control on and off the road behind Sonic Drive-In on Hotel Road on Wednesday at 4:55 p.m. State Police notified.

Caller reported item being thrown around at the Maple Village Apartments at 84 Aborn St. on Wednesday at 5:17 p.m. Officer reports call was unfounded.

Medical emergency reported on Wednesday at 6:27 p.m. at 104 Brooksby Village, Apt. 606 of a man who fell.

Called reported a fight in progress between drunk, homeless people at the East End Veterans Memorial Park on Walnut Street on Wednesday at 8:03 p.m. Officer on scene reports no fight, just conversation. Parties sent on their way.

A suspicious automobile idling with a man inside was reported at 6 South St. on Thursday at 3:58 a.m. Officer reports the vehicle was gone upon arrival.

Motorist reported a no parking sign was down on the sidewalk at 363 Lowell St. and 2 Prospect St. and is protruding onto the street causing a traffic hazard on Thursday at 5:05 a.m. The Peabody Department of Public Works was notified.



Michael Amentola, 44, of 18 Jarvis St., Apt. B, was arrested and charged with larceny over $1,200 by a single scheme.

Kevin F. Remero-Solis, 18, of 61 Shurtleff St., Apt. 5, Chelsea, was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a person over 60, disabled with an injury.
