LYNN

Arrests

Michael Chiappini, 50, of 19 Clinton St., Brockton, was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and on warrant charges of home invasion, armed robbery and armed assault in dwelling at 7:24 p.m. Wednesday.

Stephanie Garcia-Matthews, 31, of 842 Saratoga St., East Boston, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and on warrant charges of operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, uninsured motor vehicle/trailer and unregistered motor vehicle at 4:45 a.m. Thursday.

Jorge Santos, 42, of 5 Hamilton Ave., was arrested and charged with trespassing/park rule and violation of the open container law at 10:17 p.m. Wednesday.

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 2:38 p.m. Wednesday at Parkland Avenue and Richardson Road; at 7:57 a.m. Thursday at Spin City Laundromat at 119 Fayette St.; at 10:02 a.m. Thursday at Essex and Washington streets; at 1:50 p.m. Thursday at Broad and Spring streets; at 3:18 p.m. Thursday at 508 Lynnway.

A report of a motor vehicle crash with personal injury at 3:23 p.m. Wednesday at Chatham and Goodridge streets; at 3:27 p.m. Wednesday at Boston and Washington streets.

A report of an assault and battery with a dangerous weapon at 3:07 p.m. Wednesday on Lake View Avenue; at 8:21 p.m. Wednesday on Munroe Street.

LYNNFIELD

Accidents

A motor vehicle crash with property damage was reported on Tuesday at 9:25 a.m. at the Mobil Station at 596 Salem St. Officer took report.

On Tuesday at 9:08 a.m. a minor motor vehicle crash with property damage was reported at the Center Stores on Main Street. Officer assisted with paperwork exchange.

Complaints

A caller from 69 Locksley Road reported yelling from a residence on Tuesday at 12:37 p.m. Officer reports everything is OK.

Caller reported a black vehicle was in front of her home at 24 Upton Lane on Tuesday at 10:33 p.m. She asked why he was there. He explained he received some bad news and pulled off the highway to process it. Caller asked him to leave the area and he did. She asked that police check the area. Officer confirmed vehicle has left the neighborhood.

A well-being check was requested on Wednesday at 8:56 a.m. from 6 Center Village. Officer reports resident is fine.

MARBLEHEAD

Arrest

Michael Grimes, 60, of 323 Maple St., Middleton, was arrested and charged with use of a motor vehicle without authority, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and leaving the scene of property damage at 5:02 p.m. on Wednesday.

Accidents

A report of a hit and run motor vehicle crash with a USPS driver who fled the scene of property damage at Pleasant and Spring streets at 4:55 p.m. on Wednesday.

Complaints

A caller reported a male in his 40s with a beard and mustache was in their yard and left toward Goldthwait Road at 8:08 a.m. on Wednesday. The caller stated the man was peeking through the bushes before they chased him down the street and saw which house he went into. Responding officers arrived to the scene where they found him running. Officers advised him to go back to the caller’s house and clean up the mess he left. The man was then verbally issued a no trespass.

A caller reported medication was stolen from their vehicle on Bessom Street at 9:39 a.m. on Wednesday.

A caller reported at 11:25 a.m. on Wednesday a white van parked out front of Pleasant Street that was “killing their business.” Responding officers arrived to find the van gone.

A caller reported receiving a scam call at 2:33 p.m. on Wednesday that her son was in Peru in the hospital and he needed her to send money.

A caller reported a verbal dispute on Ocean Avenue at 4:52 p.m. on Wednesday.

A walk-in reported a well-dressed elderly man was headed outbound hitchhiking and holding onto some kind of sign at Atlantic and Ocean avenues at 5:17 p.m. on Wednesday. Responding officers were unable to locate him.

A caller reported his phone was taken from his car sometime earlier in the day on Peabody Lane at 5:34 p.m. on Wednesday. He stated he does not know where it was taken from as he was out doing errands all day.

A walk-in reported at 6:31 p.m. on Wednesday that she has been receiving emails regarding the purchase of items she did not purchase.

A caller reported a neighbor was having guests over on Bartlett Street at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday and one of them parked on his property.

A caller reported there was loud music being played at Wick’s on Pleasant Street and it was disturbing his peace. Responding officers spoke to the restaurant which in turn shut its windows and turned down the music.

PEABODY

Accidents

A report of a motor vehicle crash with a medical emergency at 9:31 p.m. Tuesday at 2 Violet Road and 82 Andover St. Vehicles towed by All Star Towing, one patient refused assistance.

Hit and run crash reported on Wednesday at 7:18 p.m. on Centennial Drive. Suspect vehicle is tan colored sedan with New Hampshire plates. Officer will document.

Motor vehicle crash reported on Wednesday at 11:12 a.m. at 119 Lynnfield St.

Monday on Aborn Street. Fallon Ambulance Co. took one of the victims to the hospital.

On Monday at 7:35 p.m. a motor vehicle crash was reported on Route 128 North with airbag deployment. State Police on the scene.

Caller reported a motor vehicle crash on Tuesday at 8:25 a.m. at Dearborn Road and Overlook Trail. Four Star Towing Service and Atlantic Ambulance Service were contacted by police.

Motor vehicle crash reported on Tuesday at 9:06 a.m. on Lake Street. Officer reports no tows required.

A two-car motor vehicle crash was reported on Tuesday at 9:10 a.m. at 3 Coolidge Ave. and 112 Lynn St. One operator taken to Beverly Hospital.

A two-car crash was reported on Tuesday at 10:29 a.m. at 502 Lowell St. and 2 Peabody Road. Operator of the second vehicle and a juvenile passenger were taken to the Lahey Medical  Center. See summons of Leah Leblanc.

Caller reported a motor vehicle crash on Tuesday at 12:42 p.m. at 52 Central St. and 2 Warren St.

Animal Control

Caller left a message about consistent, horrible animal noises coming from 80 North St. on Tuesday at 6:50 p.m. Caller was unsure if dog had been left outside or abused but the whimpering and wailing breaks her heart and makes it unpleasant to sit or walk outside. Sometimes it sounds like two dogs fighting, she said, followed by more whimpering. Officer checked the area but the complaint was unfounded.

Dog barking complaint was reported on Tuesday at 11:18 p.m. at 9 Stockton Road. Animal Control officer reports no dogs heard and house is dark.

Crossing guard at Walgreens at 35 Main St. reported a dog on the street on Wednesday at 12:07 p.m. Bianca, a Shih Tzu, was returned to her owner who was issued a verbal warning for the loose dog.

Two calls received on Tuesday at 8:27 a.m. about a loose, black dog with a leash attached at the Container Store at 210 Andover St. Animal Control officer unavailable. Mall security will check.

Caller left a voicemail for the Animal Control officer that a dog was found with license no. 1001 on Tuesday at 12:52 p.m. Caller left phone number to be contacted by owner.

Complaints

Caller reported a motor vehicle parked on the sidewalk at 8 Winter St. on Tuesday at 5:44 p.m. which is restricting the resident from backing out of the driveway. Police reports vehicle moved prior to officer’s arrival.

On Tuesday at 6:28 p.m. a caller from 8 Swampscott Ave., Apt. 1, reports she does not want her father in the house because he is calling her names. Officer reports all is in order and daughter was just waiting to take her medicine.

Caller reports a suspicious motor vehicle at 4 Dooling Circle on Tuesday at 8:08 p.m. Reporting party called back to say car has left.   

Detective checked suspicious motor vehicle on Tuesday at 9:37 p.m. at 156 Lynnfield St. and 2 Calas Circle. All appears to be in order.

Caller reported a man had passed out on the ground and appears to be drunk at 310 Lowell St. on Tuesday at 10:51 p.m. Man taken to Lahey Medical Center.

A suspicious motor vehicle was reported on Wednesday at 12:23 a.m. on East Coast Road in Danvers. The Danvers Police Department was notified.

Well-being check requested on Wednesday at 9:07 a.m. on Chestnut Street after a woman walked out of court and appeared to be confused. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt. Officer was unable to locate.

An anonymous caller reported a loud party on Wednesday at 12:35 a.m. at East End Veterans Memorial Park on Walnut Street. Officer reports party leaving for the night.

REVERE

Arrests

Jason C. Duletta, 31, of 4 Jordan St., Apt. 1, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.

Reynaldo J. Cruz, 30, of 2 Marl St., Apt. 2, Jamaica Plain, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering during the nighttime for a felony, malicious destruction of property worth more than $1,200, resisting arrest, and disturbing the peace.

Luis Manuel Oliva, 34, of 49 Bradstreet Ave., was arrested on warrant charges.

Accidents

A report of a motor vehicle crash at Brown Circle at 2:14 a.m. Wednesday; on Allston Street at 6:27 a.m. Wednesday; on North Shore Road at 4:39 p.m. Wednesday.

Complaint

A report of threats on Vera Street at 7:44 p.m. Wednesday.

SAUGUS

Accidents

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 41 Walnut St. at 1:12 p.m. Wednesday; at Elm and Saville streets at 3:47 p.m. Wednesday; at Dunkin’ Donuts on Broadway at 6:56 p.m. Wednesday; on Saville Street at 12:29 a.m. Thursday.

Complaints

A report of vandalism at Godfried’s Plaza at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.

A Greenwood Avenue resident reported a bag with white powder on the ground in front of his home at 6:22 p.m. Wednesday. Police reported it was a bag of flour.

A caller reported he parked his car next to a white Audi at Walmart and a person in the back seat of the Audi stated that he had a firearm and he was going to shoot him at 8:58 p.m. Wednesday. Police report speaking to all involved and retrieving an item from the vehicle and, upon further investigation, determined it not to be a firearm.

A Dudley Street resident reported a man with tattoos on his face came to his front door and asked for a ride to Canton at 10:29 p.m. Wednesday. The caller reported the man was black, had one shoe on, and looked like he got into a physical altercation with someone.

Theft

A report of a motor vehicle breaking and entering on Sherwood Forest Lane at 9:29 a.m. Wednesday.
