REVERE — A teenager missing from a Revere foster care program was located in Boston.
Haley Driggers had been listed with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children since July 23. She was located by Boston Police Wednesday night, Massachusetts State Police spokesman David Procopio confirmed.
“She was picked up by Boston police after a tip (was) called in,” said her mother, Jennifer Tanner, who added that the 17-year-old is now home with her in Lynn, where she plans to stay.
Tanner, of Lynn, said Driggers lived with her father and stepmother in South Carolina until she was removed from the home in 2015.
Driggers did not follow rules while living with her mother, Tanner said, and Tanner filed a Child Requiring Assistance (CRA) case with the state.
Driggers was living in an intensive care foster program in Revere at the time of her disappearance.
The teen was known to run off, but usually returned after a few days, said Tanner. Her mother didn’t hear from her for more than a week this time.
Driggers suffers from mental health issues, said Tanner, who also said she has been trying to get her daughter help.
