Arrest
Michael Flowers, 20, of 450 Essex St., Lynn, was arrested and charged with daytime breaking and entering for a felony, motor vehicle breaking and entering, trespassing and larceny from building at 6:47 p.m. Wednesday.

A report of a disturbing sign at 9:13 a.m. Wednesday on Pleasant Street. A woman reported she saw a man standing by the National Grand Bank holding up a sign about maggots, which also said “I hope you die.” Police told her the man was exercising his First Amendment rights.
A report of suspicious activity at 9:29 a.m. Wednesday on Atlantic Avenue. A caller reported receiving a suspicious phone call. He stated that when his father-in-law died in Maine, the family had placed an obituary in the paper, and while everyone was attending the services, the house was broken into. He stated that his mother-in-law just recently died and the previous day, he had received a call from a woman saying she was to deliver flowers to either his house or his mother-in-law’s house. He was concerned that the same thing might be happening here in town; at 5:27 p.m. Wednesday on Nanepashemet Street. A caller reported there was a white Toyota “casing houses” in the area.
A report of large fish kill at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday on Shuman Road. A caller reported there was a large amount of dead fish. He thought they were mackerel and said it didn’t appear to be a “natural phenomenon.” Mass Wildlife was called and spoke to a fisherman there. The dead fish were pogies and got chased in by schools of stripers. When the tide went out, the pogies got stranded in the shallow tidal ponds and died. There were a couple hundred dead pogies in the area.
A caller reported she was almost hit by a male driver who wasn’t paying attention at 9:54 a.m. Wednesday on Atlantic Avenue. She said he cut into her lane of traffic while driving in the opposite direction.
A report of a Porsche and Maserati racing at 2:18 p.m. Wednesday at Atlantic Avenue and Beach Street.
A caller reported there was an unknown man in the house at 6:47 p.m. Wednesday on Harbor Avenue. The man was reportedly in his 20s and not wearing a shirt. Michael Flowers, 20, of Lynn, was arrested.
A caller reported she got into a road rage incident with a man who yelled obscenities at her at 9:05 p.m. Wednesday on Farrell Court. She said he proceeded to block her in and yelled at her “you can (expletive) stay here for a few hours now.” She said this all occurred because she accidentally parked in his spot.
