A caller reported she saw a man on the street holding a sign that read something like “Left wing maggots hate Constitution.” Police informed the caller that while they may not like his message, he has the right to be doing what he was doing. The woman who called said a lot of people were looking at him.
A report of a man passed out on rocks at 6:56 p.m. Friday on Commercial Street. A caller reported the man was passed out at the end of Commercial Street between the focks an docks at Marblehead Yacht Club. Police reported the man was just lying down on the rocks listening to music.
A report of cones moved at 11:05 a.m. Saturday on Gregory Street. A caller reported a police officer pulled up to her house, took the cones that were out front, threw them against the house and drove off. She was not home and did not say how she knew that happened. She said the cones were saving a spot for a tree truck that was en route and was mad that they were moved without the officer making an effort to find out why they were in place.
A report of suspicious activity at 11:07 a.m. Saturday on Wyman Road. A caller reported she encountered a man in the park the day before. He reportedly asked her for weed and she told him she didn’t have any. She said the man approached a group of boys who were about three years old. He reportedly bought pot from the boys. The caller reported the man begged her to smoke with him. She said the man had been living in a tent in the woods at Seaside and had been kicked out by the police the night before. She was concerned because he was “talking about how he wants to have a good effect on children,” and was concerned the man may act on his words and have some sort of interaction with the children; at 7:11 p.m. Saturday on Beacon Street. A caller reported his car was stolen and later found it at the Community Store. The suspect was inside the store and had the caller’s wife’s purse.
