Stabbing suspect flees, returns to scene and an arrest is made in Lynn

LYNN — Lynn Police are investigating after a man was stabbed on Laighton Street Tuesday afternoon. The suspect initially fled the scene but came back and was arrested.

Police responded to 48 Laighton St. around 2:43 p.m. and found a man had been stabbed in the stomach after what appears to be a dispute between neighbors, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.

The victim was taken to Salem Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Adrian Fuentes, 24, of Lynn, left after allegedly stabbing the victim with a knife, but he returned a short time later and was arrested, Kmiec said.

Fuentes was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

A woman was also involved in the neighbor dispute and was arrested. Nidxa Fuentes, 43, of Lynn, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, Kmiec said.

Her arrest was related to the incident, but she was not charged for the stabbing. The incident is under investigation and the circumstances surrounding her arrest are not yet clear.
