LYNN– The action continued Tuesday evening for the Lynn Parks and Recreation summer basketball league as the regular season winds to a close.
Tuesday’s slate of six games included two tilts in each of the league’s three divisions.
In elementary school action, Cuffe McGinn grabbed a 39-29 win over Lynn Firefighters. Kameron Rucker scored 16 points to lead the way for Cuffe McGinn. Darryl Reynolds led Lynn Firefighters with nine points.
Also in the elementary school division, Xtreme Silk Screen slipped by Pizza Lovers in a one-point game for a 48-47. Davon Rucker led Xtreme Silk Screen with seven points in the winning effort. Deono Kabongo scored 23 points for Pizza Lovers.
In the middle school division, Buzzy Barton took down Columbia Insurance for a 56-45 victory. Buzzy Barton was led by 10 points from Jose Cruz and eight points from Victor Mafo. Lionel Rivera led Columbia Insurance with 22 points and Nelson Obanrisigadon chipped in with 10 points.
Also in the middle school division, Gannon Building Associates earned an 87-78 win over Ram Electric. Jeury Barbosa was the story of the game, scoring 60 points for Gannon Building. Tyrese Williams scored 35 points for Ram Electric and Jansel Rodriguez added 16 points.
In the high school division, Panakio Adjusters earned a 59-49 win over Rick Starbard. Wando Perez led Rick Starbard with 36 points.
Also in the high school division, Dartworld Inc. grabbed a 76-48 win over Wood and Associates. Joshua Perez scored 18 points to lead Dartworld Inc. and Elijah Dada chipped in with nine points. Ramfis Mendez scored 18 points for Wood and Associates.
The league begins its playoffs next week.
