LYNN — A 28-year-old Lynn man was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at someone during an argument on Burchstead Place early Saturday morning.
William Alvelo was charged with carrying a loaded firearm weapon, possession of a firearm without a firearm identification card, receiving a firearm with a defaced serial number and unlawful possession of a firearm without a firearm identification card.
Police responded to Burchstead Place around 2 a.m. after it was reported there was a person outside with a gun. Police learned a man, later identified as Alvelo, had pointed the weapon at someone during an argument, Lynn Police Lt. Dave Brown said.
Police stopped a vehicle that Alvelo was a passenger in, and an investigation resulted in his arrest, Brown said.
