Dennis Pacheco, 61, of 124 Green St., was arrested on a warrant charge of shoplifting by concealing merchandise and on a separate default warrant charge at 11:36 a.m. on Thursday.

Chester Szczawinski, Jr., of 30 Huron St., was arrested on a warrant charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon at 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday.

MARBLEHEAD

Complaints

A caller reported that his apartment, which was recently rented by a new tenant, was being painted by someone the landlord hired at Watson Street. When the new tenant returned home he found the painter sleeping in their bed at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday.

A caller reported she hired someone to paint and allowed him to stay in one of her bedrooms at Endicott Avenue, but now she wants him out at 11:22 a.m. on Wednesday. The caller stated the painter was not violent at the moment but he does have a history of violence and has been drinking a lot lately.

A caller reported thinking he is being defrauded by someone trying to pull an insurance scam involving two accidents in Swampscott at 11:48 a.m. on Wednesday.

A walk-in report with a resident who brought in a letter that she believed was a fraud attempt at 12:09 p.m. on Wednesday. The letter claimed she is the only living relative of a person who died in a car accident in Portugal and therefore she has inherited millions.

A caller reported she got locked in to a room with no phone and she lives alone at Rainbow Road. She fashioned a rope using sheets and climbed out of the window, falling 15 feet to the ground and injuring her back at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

A caller from the credit union at Widger Road reported a member attempting to get money for several gift cards to help their grandson who was in custody at the Marblehead Police Department using a fake police officer’s name at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Actual responding officers informed them it was indeed a scam given there is no officer by the name that was given.

 

NAHANT

Arrest

Freddy Zambrano, 45, of 56 Revere Beach Pkwy. Apt. 5, Revere, was arrested on warrant charges.

 

Complaints

An Uber driver reported having a problem with a passenger at 1:51 p.m. Tuesday.

A report of downed wires on Little Nahant Road at 9:43 p.m. Tuesday; at Gardner Road and Bayview Avenue at 11:21 a.m. Tuesday.

A report of loud music on Sherman Avenue at 1:43 a.m. Thursday.

 

Theft

A report of five individuals breaking into the Tides Restaurant at 12:12 a.m. Thursday. Police report the individuals were the cleaners.

 

REVERE

Arrest

Steven P. Porix, 27, of 50 Proctor Ave., Apt. 2, Revere, was arrested and charged with possession to distribute a Class A drug and possession to distribute a Class B drug.

A Harrison Avenue resident reported she had an altercation with the son of her father’s girlfriend at 9:53 a.m. Wednesday. This morning, he called and left her a threatening voice message.

A report of wires down on Adams Avenue at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

A Blueridge Avenue resident reported her son was out of control and destroying the house at 6:09 a.m. Thursday.
