A caller reported at 9:44 a.m. Sunday on Roundhouse Road that there was a contractor working in a wood shop and using a loud generator that was disturbing her peace. Police reported the man was cleaning out a truck for his employer and was told to keep the noise to a minimum.
A report of suspicious activity at 6:52 p.m. Sunday on Pleasant Street. A caller reported a suspicious male seemed “high” and was talking nonsense and harassing the young women behind Starbucks. Police moved the man along.
A report of a disturbance at 9:06 p.m. Sunday on Jersey Street. An elderly woman was reportedly picking through the trash. The caller reported the woman asked about a family that hadn’t lived in the house for years. The caller was concerned the woman may be disoriented.

A report of a motor vehicle breaking and entering at 9:21 p.m. Saturday at 1 Wagner St. A caller reported a man tried to get into her car and then fled in a silver car.
Complaints
A report of suspicious activity at 6:38 p.m. Friday at TD Bank North at 31 Cross St. A caller reported a man kept looking in the bank for the past hour. Police reported the man was cleaning out his car and would be moving to the mall property; at 7:07 p.m. Sunday on Russell Street Bike Path. A person dressed in a clown suit was reportedly scaring people. Police later found a juvenile dress in a clown suit. An officer spoke with the mother, who reported the juvenile would be inside for the night; at 11:18 p.m. Sunday at 5 Barrett Road. A man with a flashlight was reportedly looking into vehicles.
Police received a complaint about two Ant bicycles abandoned on Home Street for about two weeks at 10:57 a.m. Saturday. One was near a tree in the bottom of the park and the other was on a right hand sidewalk leading to the trail behind the Welch School. When they were first left, one was on a corner in the middle of the sidewalk, blocking pedestrians and other was in the street, creating a hazard for cars coming around the corner, as drivers would not be able to see it. Police reported that they will move the bikes to a better spot near Marrs Park and would contact the company to inform them that they have 24 hours to remove the bikes or they will be considered abandoned and thrown away.
A report of a disturbance at 6:15 p.m. Saturday on Lynn Street. A caller reported there was a meth lab in the house. Police reported there were no signs of drug activity and there was a verbal dispute; at 12:40 a.m. Monday at 15 Holten St. A caller reported someone tried breaking into her house. An officer reported it was not an attempt to break into the house, as a group of kids pushed in the homeowner’s air conditioner.
A report of gunshots at 10:33 p.m. Saturday at 112 Lowell St. Police checked the area and reported all was in order.
Fire
A mulch fire was reported at 11:09 p.m. Friday at 400 Brooksby Village Drive. The fire department handled the fire.
Overdose
A report of an overdose at 4:02 a.m. Sunday on Spring Street. One dose of Narcan was administered and the person was taken to Salem Hospital; at 5:14 p.m. Sunday at Mavros Construction on Spring Street. The person was taken to Salem Hospital. The building inspector reported people were living out of the business.
Theft
A report of a larceny at 10:50 a.m. Sunday at Northeast Nursery at 234 Newbury St. A caller reported his iPhone was stolen while at the nursery on Saturday; at 2:30 p.m. Monday at 58 Pulaski St.
Vandalism
A report of vandalism at 1:08 p.m. Saturday at 380 Lynnfield St. A vehicle tire was reportedly slashed sometime overnight; at 9:56 a.m. Sunday at 2 Spring Pond Road; at 11:23 a.m. Monday at 92 Avalon Drive. Slashed tires were reported; at 2:57 p.m. Monday at 460 Lowell St.

A caller reported a woman was panhandling at the entrance of Target while holding a young infant at 1:05 p.m. Saturday. The caller reported that witnesses were concerned for the child’s well being due to the weather and that some were getting into verbal arguments with the mother.
