LYNN — The Lynn Parks and Recreation Summer Basketball League picked back up Monday night at the outdoor courts at Breed Middle School. A total of six games were played across the league’s three divisions (elementary school, middle school, high school).
In the first elementary division game of the night, Cuffe-McGinn walked away with a 49-29 victory over Lynn Firefighters. Farnham Abukar scored six points and Ari Barrows added five points for Lynn Firefighters. Kameron Rucker scored 16 points for Cuffe-McGinn and Travis Sanchez tallied 15 points. Also in the elementary school division, Xtreme Silkscreen earned a 44-38 victory over Pizza Lovers with 19 points from Giovanni Jean and 12 points from Deshawn Rucker. For Pizza Lovers, Deono Kabongo scored 14 points and Denzel Guillen contributed 13 points.
In the middle school division, Gannon Building Associates snuck by Ram Electric with a 50-46 win. Gannon’s win was led by 13 points from Felipe Jason and eight points from Van Nguyen. Joshua McDonald scored 19 points to lead Ram Electric. Also in middle school action, Columbia Insurance Company squeaked by Buzzy Barton with a 46-42 victory. Lionel Rivera led Columbia Insurance Company with 14 points, while Nelson Obamalagon chipped in with 10 points. Wally Florencio and Cullen Louis each tallied 10 points for Buzzy Barton.
In the high school division, Wood and Associates rolled past Dart World Inc. for a 70-54 win. Jeffry Hill led Dart World Inc. with 26 points. Kyjuan Anderson’s 32-point performance powered Wood and Associates, while Buba Ceesay added 15 points. Also in the high school division, Rick Starbard took down Panamos Adjusters for a 59-51 win. Rick Starbard was led by 22 points from Dyrell Rucker and 16 points from Diego Lopez. Ali Barry scored 19 points and Wally Florencio added 10 points for Panamos Adjusters.
The action continues to Tuesday night at the Breed outdoor courts.
