A caller reported a motor vehicle being stuck in the sand on Ocean Avenue at 9:36 a.m. on Wednesday. Responding officers notified the Parks and Recreation department stating there was possible damage to the lot and the sand.
A caller reported his car was parked in the Old North parking lot while he was away and when he returned home he found his windshield smashed on Stacey Street at 2:54 p.m. on Wednesday.
A caller reported two individuals claiming they were from Verizon on Cliff Street at 7:04 p.m. on Wednesday, claiming they wanted to check her service, but the homeowner stated she doesn’t have Verizon. The female party asked the homeowner to use her bathroom but she declined. Responding officers confirmed the two individuals were actually Verizon workers.

Arrest
Tayla M. Errico, 26, of 40 West Broadway, Apt. 1, Derry, N.H., was arrested and charged on Tuesday at 8:45 p.m. for assault and battery on a family household member at 36 Elginwood Road.

A report of a motor vehicle crash on Wednesday at 10:50 a.m. at 22 Andover St. Paperwork exchanged; at Wilson Square on Wednesday at 12:04 p.m. One operator was taken to the Salem Hospital.

A report of suspicious activity at the Bank of America at 189 Andover St. on Tuesday at 6:07 p.m. Caller reported a suspicious man described as scruffy at 5-foot-8-inches tall wearing a Red Sox T-shirt. Officer reported no one in the area fit the description.
A fight in progress was reported on Tuesday at 6:29 p.m. at the Holiday Inn at 1 Newbury St. Caller reported two people were fighting by the pool. No weapons were involved. Officer said parties do not want assistance and hotel will let them stay if they stop fighting.
Report of a homeless man sleeping in the lobby of 107 Foster St. on Tuesday at 9:21 p.m. Police moved the person along.
Report of a party passed out behind the wheel of a black Honda Accord with New Hampshire plates at the Dunkin’ Donuts at 124 Newbury St. on Wednesday at 5:18 a.m. Police reported party was asleep and sent on his way.
Female reported she had a dispute with a friend who stole $20 from her wallet on Wednesday at 1:48 p.m. at 56 Walnut St., Apt. 6. Friend was described as wearing a red tank top, blue shorts, and riding a white bicycle. She believes he may be going to the park on Walnut Street. Officer spoke with the suspect at 4 Mill St. The officer returned the cash to the reporting party.

Joshua Anthony Burgos, 19, of 84 Arlington Ave., was arrested and charged with domestic assault or domestic assault and battery “intimate relationship,” assault with a dangerous weapon, malicious destruction of property less than $1,200, operating recklessly as to endanger, disturbing the peace, and two counts of threatening to commit a crime.
