The driver of a Toyota Camry may have crossed the center line before crashing into a pickup truck on Essex Street in Saugus Thursday morning.
The car sideswiped the Ford truck, which was pulling a trailer, in the area of 226 Essex St., according to a statement by Saugus Police.
According to police, first responders worked to free the driver of the Camry from their vehicle using hydraulic rescue tools. The driver of the Camry was then transported to Massachusetts General Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. The driver of the truck was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
