SWAMPSCOTT — The town of Swampscott is looking for volunteers to serve on various boards and committees.
Residents looking for a fun or interesting way to make a difference in their community are encouraged to apply for a chance to serve on the town’s Commission on Disabilities, Conservation Commission, Harbor & Water Advisory Committee, Historical Commission, Recreation Commission or Renewable Energy Committee.
“Board and commission members’ work is crucial to the success of Swampscott’s representative government,” the town’s announcement said. “By sharing your experience, expertise, and time, residents provide valuable insight — the residents’ point of view — to the operations of the town and the Board of Selectmen’s decision-making process.”
