Complaints
A caller reported at 11:39 a.m. Friday on Kenneth Road that there was a Budget rental truck in the area for the second time in a week and felt they were casing the neighborhood. Police reported FedEx was using the truck to make deliveries and that there was nothing suspicious going on.
A report of a bag in the road at 5:17 p.m. Friday on Ocean Avenue. A caller reported a bag at the end of the Causeway and she was afraid that it would blow into the ocean. Police reported the object was couch cushions, which were off to the side of the road.
A caller reported a man with a metal detector was “digging up grass on the school property” at 11:31 a.m. Saturday on Elm Street. Police reported the man would stop for the day and get permission from the school department. All small holes from the hand shovel were filled in.

When approached by parents at the park, the man reportedly got out of the vehicle with a crowbar. Nolan R. Morel, 26, of Lynn, was arrested.
Complaints
A man was reportedly trying to kick cars at 10:27 p.m. Friday on Forest Street. Police advised the man to stop kicking.
A report of a disturbance at 6:54 p.m. Saturday at Extended Stay America at 200 Jubilee Drive. The front desk reported a man sneaked into a room and was destroying it.
Overdose
A report of an overdose at 6:42 p.m. Friday on Andover Street. The person was taken to Salem Hospital; at 3:18 a.m. Saturday at Extended Day America on Jubilee Drive.
Theft
A report of a larceny at 9:46 a.m. Sunday at Alliance Health at Rosewood at 22 Johnson St. A caller reported $100 was stolen from his room.
Vandalism
A report of vandalism at 6:56 p.m. Friday at 145 Main St. A caller reported witnessing a man smash the back window of a green Toyota Corolla. Anthony J. Betancourt, 31, of 16 Crowninshield St., Apt. 316, was summoned for wanton destruction of property; at 4:11 a.m. Saturday at 7-Eleven at 79 Lowell St. A caller reported a group had just smashed a window at the store.
