Arrests

Marquis Byrd, 23, of 11 Wardman St., Roxbury, was arrested and charged with attempting to commit a crime, uttering a false check, and forgery of a check.

Elodia Carrillo, 48, of 100 Willow St., was arrested and charged with assault and a battery with a dangerous weapon.

Jennifer O’Hara, 40, of 39 Amity St., was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle with a revoked license, failure to obey a traffic sign, and warrant charges of uninsured motor vehicle or trailer, unregistered motor vehicle, number plate violation, failure to stop or yield, two counts of registration not in possession, two counts of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and miscellaneous equipment violation.

Yancy Quinonez, 20, of 710 Summer St., was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to stop or yield.

Accidents

A report of a motor vehicle accident at Beach Street and Atlantic Avenue at 7:49 a.m. Monday.

A report of a truck striking a pole and taking down wires at Roundhouse Road and School Street at 10:48 a.m. Monday.

A report of an MBTA bus accident involving an illegally parked vehicle at 3:17 p.m. Monday on Franklin Street.

Complaints

A Washington Street resident reports he believes his tenant or the tenant’s son shut off the sump pump and caused over a foot of water to accumulate in the basement at 3:17 p.m. Monday. The caller has no proof, only a strong belief. He is in Florida.

A caller reported she drove to her ex-husband’s Arrowhead Road home and noticed a silver BMW parked with two males who she believes are suspicious at 9:05 p.m. Monday.

A person walked into the police station to report they rented a car and found an unknown substance in a bag in the car at 6:41 a.m. Tuesday. Police report the substance is baby powder.

PEABODY

Arrests

Evaristo Moura, 46, of 22 Stevens St., was arrested and charged with larceny over $250.

Joseph A. Losano, 51, of 11C Boynton St., Swampscott, was arrested on a courtesy booking for another department.

Accidents

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 474 Lowell St. at 2:12 p.m. Monday; at Luigi’s on Lynnfield Street at 7:27 p.m. Monday; at the Peabody Fire Department at 8:44 a.m. Tuesday.

A report of a motor vehicle backing into a pedestrian at The Cheesecake Factory at 4:53 p.m. Monday.

Complaints

A report of an argument over a parking spot at 54 Paleologos St. at 8:04 p.m. Monday.

A Lowell Crossing Enterprises Group Home staff member reported that a person threatened staff with a knife at 5:20 p.m. Monday. Police report the man was having dinner in the living room and the steak knife he was using was on the table and scared the staff.

A report of an intoxicated person at McDonald’s Restaurant at 133 Main St. at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday.

Theft

A Highland Park resident reported a man was stealing his pressure washer at 7 p.m. Monday.

Arrests

Allen Brown, 54, of 1219 North Shore Road Apt. 2, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery and strangulation or suffocation.

Marlene Da Silva Salema, 48, of 9 Dehon St., was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.

Accidents

A report of a motor vehicle accident at Wonderland Train Station at 4:51 p.m. Monday.

A report of a pedestrian accident at 9:34 p.m. Monday.

Complaints

A report of a loud stereo on Ocean Gate Tower at 1:27 a.m. Monday.

A report of an assault on American Legion Highway at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

SAUGUS

Accidents

A report that a motor vehicle slammed into a guardrail in front of York Ford at 8:55 a.m. Monday. The caller believes the operator may have had a medical emergency and is unresponsive. The man was transported to Mass General Hospital.

A report of a vehicle striking a wall and then the occupants fleeing the scene at 12:54 a.m. Tuesday on Reynolds Road. The suspects struck a retaining wall, then fled toward Lynn. Suspects are described as a white male, heavy built, and a white female with a yellow shirt. The Department of Public Works responded to address a damaged fire hydrant. Police later learned the vehicle was rented and the suspect’s information was left inside the vehicle.

A report of a Saint Bernard wandering on Central Street with no tags or ID at 12:51 p.m. Monday.

A report of a woman walking too close to the roadway on Route 1, who the caller believes could be intoxicated, at 6:21 p.m. Monday.

A report of a group of youths playing music loudly on Golden Hills Road at 11:48 p.m. Monday.

A report of a man with a drill breaking into an abandoned house on Oakcrest Street at 5:28 a.m. Tuesday. The man was observed carrying multiple bags from the home and placing them in his vehicle, which he parked in the driveway.

Theft

A report of a shoplifter with $50 worth of merchandise at Ocean State Job Lot at 2:30 p.m. Monday.

A report of a motor vehicle stolen from Penske Truck Rental at 3:59 p.m. Monday.
