LYNN — A Lynn man was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine after being pulled over for driving with an expired inspection sticker.
Edwal Vargas, 26, was pulled over on Commercial Street shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday by State Trooper Christopher Kane. He was driving a black Acura TSX with an expired sticker, according to police.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of two bags of rock cocaine, weighing about 160 grams, $850 in cash, and three cell phones, police said.
Vargas was arrested and booked at the Revere Barracks on charges of trafficking cocaine, driving without a license in possession, and driving without a vehicle without an inspection sticker. Bail has been set at $5,040.
