LYNN — Three men were arrested and charged with assaulting another man in his Elm Street home while trying to collect a loan on Sunday night.
Police responded to 54 Elm St. shortly after 6 p.m. and found three Lynn men — Richard Salazar-Burgos, 18; Richard Salazar-Ulerio, 46; and Richard Santos-Salazar, 26 — had let themselves into the home and allegedly assaulted a 23-year-old male victim, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
Salazar-Burgos claimed that the victim owed him $500 from a past deposit he had given the victim. The suspects forced the man into his bedroom, where Salazar-Burgos allegedly assaulted him and took his money, Kmiec said.
Salazar-Burgos hit the victim with a lamp and punched him, while the other two suspects prevented anyone else in the home from going in the room to help the victim, according to Kmiec.
Police responded after getting a call about the incident and found the three suspects still on scene, where they were arrested, Kmiec said.
Salazar-Burgos was charged with kidnapping, nighttime breaking and entering for a felony, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, assault and battery to collect a loan and larceny from person.
Salazar-Ulerio was charged with kidnapping, nighttime breaking and entering for a felony and assault and battery to collect a loan.
