Emily Travascio of Swampscott is going to Puerto Rico next month with Global Works: Travel With a Purpose to assist with hurricane relief there.
The Travascio family will host a trivia fundraiser Sunday, April 29, 2 to 4 p.m. at Holy Family Church, 26 Bessom St., Lynn.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Come as a team of eight or join another team. Bring your own snacks/drinks or buy something at the event. Raffles will be held, and winners will get a prize.
Travascio has been involved with Habitat For Humanity with Curry College the past two years. The group traveled to North Carolina and South Carolina.
About 40,000 homes and businesses in Puerto Rico are still without power, seven months after Hurricane Maria’s devastation. Currently, only 20 percent of the island has electricity.
