REVERE – Residents interested in shaping the future of open space and recreation in the city are encouraged to attend a community meeting next week.
The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) and Revere officials will hold an Open Space and Recreation Plan Community Forum on Tuesday, April 17 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the City Council Chambers in City Hall.
Participants will be encouraged to share their ideas and priorities about parks, recreational facilities, playgrounds, and green space as the city updates its outdoors plans.
The event, which caps nearly a year of work between Revere and MAPC, will provide residents with the chance to see the results of the online survey of more than 400 residents, and comment on the plan’s recommendations.
In addition, the “Vision Tree,” a public art project, will be unveiled and attendees can add their own leaf designs to the tree.
