BOSTON– The North Shore was well-represented at Saturday’s 33rd Annual MIAA Indoor Track and Field All-State Championship at the Reggie Lewis Center.
Among the top team finishers on the girls side were Lynnfield, which placed 21st overall, and Beverly, which finished 37th. On the boys side, St. John’s Prep and Peabody finished in a nine-way tie for the 28th overall spot, Marblehead finished tied for 54th and Lynn English finished tied for 58th.
Top individual performances on the girls side included: Beverly’s India Ingemi, seventh in the 300 meter dash (41.18); Beverly’s Abigail Otterbein, 14th in the 600 meter run (1:39.64); Gloucester’s Leah Rudolph, 22nd in the 600 meter run (1:45.92); Lynnfield’s Kate Mitchell, second in the 1000 meter run (2:56.00); Beverly’s Ashley Foley, seventh in the 1000 meter run (2:59.66); Malden’s Rachel Eaglin, 21st in the 55 meter hurdles (9.32 seconds); Lynnfield’s Kate Mitchell, Ashley Mitchell, Lauren Mitchell and Juliana Passatempo, 12th in the 4×400 relay (4:12.06); Beverly’s Heidi Eberhardt, Ashley Foley, India Ingemi and Abigail Otterbein, 13th in the 4×400 relay (4:12.12); Peabody’s Alexa Flewelling, 22nd in the girls high jump (5-00.00).
Top individual performances on the boys side included: Marblehead’s Joe Doherty, seventh in the 55 meter dash (6.62); Peabody’s Marc Alperin, 12th in the 1000 meter run (2:34.70); St. John’s Tristan Shelgren, third in the mile run (4:19.06); Marblehead’s Thomas Huber, 13th in the 55 meter hurdles (8.02); Lynn English’s Juan Avelino; seventh in the high jump (6-04.00); Peabody’s Isaiah Knight, 13th in the high jump (6-00.00); St. John’s John Curtin, 10th in the long jump (20-04.75); St. John’s Ryan Piazza, 18th in the long jump (19-07.25); Peabody’s Eric DeMayo, third in the shot put (52-10.50); Peabodoy’s Dariel Canela, 17th in the shot put (46-01.00).
