If you’ve enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather, we have some temporary bad news: It’s going to snow this weekend. After that, we’re in line for near-record warmth.
The snow total numbers have slowly crept up over the last day, and what was once expected to be a dusting now looks like something more. It’s no monster storm, but you may have to do some shoveling despite the massive warming trend coming in after all the flakes fall.
The National Weather service’s forecast is the most dire, calling for upwards of six inches. Other forecasters are a little more optimistic:
Theme remains the same for Saturday night. A light to moderate snow that will rapidly melt, all falling between 10pm and 6am. Most don't get to 6" but seems an appropriate 'worst case' mark. #wbz pic.twitter.com/9zzSbl5LWn
