LYNN — A 30-year-old Lynn man was arrested on firearms charges on Tuesday morning after police seized an illegal gun from his house.
Hector Nieves was charged with possession of a firearm without a firearm identification card, unlawful improper storage of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammo without a firearm identification card.
The Lynn Police Drug Task Force and the State Police Special Tactical Operations (STOP) Team executed a search warrant at 66 Harwood St. around 6 a.m. During a search, police seized several items, including an illegal gun, some ammunition, drug paraphernalia and $1,111 in cash, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
Kmiec said the Drug Task Force had an ongoing investigation into the residence.
