MALDEN— U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who some say is a potential challenger to President Donald Trump in 2020, brings her message to Greater Boston Sunday when she hosts a Town Hall meeting at Malden High School.
The question-and-answer session will be held from 1-3 p.m in the Jenkins Auditorium.
Warren’s staff is working in conjunction with Malden Mayor Gary Christenson’s office to prepare for the event, which is expected to draw a large crowd.
“We are honored to host Senator Warren here in Malden,” Christenson said in a statement. “We hope our residents take advantage of the opportunity to engage the Senator and hear her points of view and share their own.”
Warren was elected in 2012, the first woman to hold that post, when she defeated first-term Republican Sen. Scott Brown. She is known as a liberal who supporters say has championed consumer rights and immigration issues.
Warren has been a harsh critic of President Trump, but the senator has said she no plans to run for president.
