Calling all student artists and videographers from the city’s schools.
AAA Northeast’s annual Traffic Safety Poster & Video Contest is underway with more than $9,000 in prizes.
To compete, K-12 students must create a traffic safety message in a video or poster format.
Traffic safety topics must focus on one of 13 themes, including seat belt, car seat, pedestrian, school bus, bike helmet, and teen driver safety, and distracted, drowsy, aggressive or impaired driving awareness.
There’s a first prize of $300, second prize of $200, and a $100 third place winning poster will be chosen in each grade category. Students in grades 9–12 have the option of entering a video in lieu of the poster.
A grand prize poster and video winner will each receive $1,000.
Entries must be received online or by mail on or before April 2. Online submissions should be submitted to the AAA website.
The winners will be chosen by AAA members and the public and will be announced on April 16.
