A caller reported seeing something under the water that looks like a body while down at the wharf art 3:42 p.m. Monday on Front Street. The caller reported it was bigger than a seal and that they could see a rib cage, pelvic area and the spinal column. Police took the body out of the water and reported it appeared to be a seal but contacted the aquarium to verify. The aquarium looked at the photos and reported it was not an ocean-mammal creature. The medical examiner’s office was called and said that it was a white-tailed deer skeleton.
