Item Santa: Help make a house a home

A struggling mother of two “beautiful girls” hopes Santa will bring them a gift for Christmas.  She is also hoping to keep the spirit of the holidays alive.

The family has suffered through tough times and spent the last year in a shelter, but has finally turned the corner and, thankfully, finally has a home to call their own.

But having to come up with first and last month’s rent and keep food on the table has drained the family’s budget, leaving the mother without a way to buy toys and gifts for her daughters this Christmas.

“I finally found a home for my girls and me and we just moved in Nov. 1, but I will not be able to give them a great Christmas that they deserve,” Mom wrote. “If you could help me make a nice Christmas for my girls this year, that would be great.  All I want this Christmas is for my girls to be happy and still believe in Santa.”
