MALDEN — The Malden Kiwanis Club and Malden Chamber of Commerce are teaming up for the second year in a row for a citywide gift drive to support local children.
Businesses across Malden have signed on to host a colorful holiday season toy box and encouraged shoppers and employees to donate items most needed or desired by local children, including teenagers.
As the boxes fill up, businesses can reach out to the Chamber to have their box emptied with Yankee Pest Control managing the gift pick-ups and storage. A portion of the donated items will benefit the Housing Families toy drive with the remainder going to local Malden families through a partnership with Malden public schools.
Businesses interested in hosting a box can email the Chamber at [email protected]. More information, including a full list of participating businesses can be found at www.maldenchamber.org or via the program’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/MaldenCityWideGiftDrive.
Founded in 1891, the Malden Chamber of Commerce is one of the oldest chambers of commerce in Massachusetts. It is a non-profit organization consisting of local businesses, schools, organizations, and agencies focused on promoting and developing commercial and civic interests of the city of Malden and beyond.
