LYNN — A three-car accident at the intersection of Essex, Rockaway and Joyce streets caused minor injuries on Wednesday afternoon.
One car was traveling down Rockaway Street and another was traveling on Essex Street southbound. There was a dispute as to which car ran a red light, but a collision forced them into a third car traveling in the opposite direction on Essex Street northbound shortly before 1 p.m., Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
There were minor injuries to the 50-year-old male driver of the third car traveling northbound on Essex Street. The Salem man had to be taken to Salem Hospital and his car was towed. A 21-year-old male passenger from Lynn in one of the other two cars also sustained minor injuries, but was not taken to the hospital, Kmiec said.
The accident is under investigation.
