REVERE — The second of two robbery suspects was arrested Friday afternoon following two separate incidents that occurred in the city at the same time Thursday.

Revere Police, working with the FBI Robbery Task Force, arrested Jordan Leishman, 30, of 100 Stockton St., Chelsea, at about 3 p.m. Friday for robbing People’s United Bank shortly before 9 a.m. on Thursday.

Leishman allegedly fled the scene after committing the crime.

Moments after the robbery, Oak Island Convenience Store at 381 North Shore Road was robbed by knife point.

Police arrested Michael Casey, 32, of 27 Flint St., about 12 hours after he allegedly robbed the Thursday at 9:05 a.m.

Revere Police Lt. Amy O’Hara said Casey allegedly entered the  convenience store wearing a mask wielding a knife. He then fled into the Oak Island neighborhood, she said.

A search was conducted by Revere detectives and the Massachusetts State Police K-9 unit who continued to work into the night, said O’Hara.

“This was a good job by the detective and our crime analyst, who were able to put together the pieces through interviews with witnesses and the execution of a search warrant,” she said.
