MARBLEHEAD
Complaints
A report of a bus complaint at 8:11 a.m. Monday on Clifton Avenue. A caller reported that while driving down Clifton, she encountered a bus “that did not have a stop sign up and no flashing light” and thought it was OK pass it. She relayed that it appeared the bus parked and it didn’t appear anyone was in it so it was OK to pass the bus. As she was passing, “a woman came out from behind the bus and started to yell about having to stop for the bus” and started “screaming about taking a picture of my plate and calling the police and getting a ticket for passing the bus.” She also mentioned that now there was a Facebook post on All Marblehead Happenings about this and she was nervous that the woman would find her plate and “show up at my doorstep.” The All Marblehead Happenings post reads that “if you hear about a crazy lady taking license plate numbers of cars because they were passing a bus and she wouldn’t let other cars pass till her son was strapped in, that was me. One car whizzed by without my ability to get a license plate, but I did get one and called police and the bus driver recorded it as well. Cars were honking behind the bus and they were yelling at me, yet my son was still not strapped in. Daily I will stand in that street and (stop) cars till my son is safely strapped in. It seems the only solution to rude and dangerous drivers.
