SAUGUS — Fall is fast approaching and Kane’s Donuts is ready to meet every caramel apple, cider donut, comfort food need of its customers.
To mark the season full of apple picking and cooler temperatures, the donut shop will launch its fall flavors beginning Monday.
Added to the menu is a peanut butter and jelly donut made from a light and fluffy yeast style of donut, filled with black raspberry jelly, and topped with Teddie Peanut Butter. Kane’s calls the creation a back-to-school classic.
The Kane’s apple cider donut is a cake style donut made with real apple cider and cinnamon folded in the dough, then covered in either cinnamon and sugar or dipped in Kane’s signature honey glaze.
A gluten-free option is available, which is made with apple cider and freshly ground cinnamon.
A gluten-free maple walnut cupcake made using real Vermont maple syrup and chopped walnuts is also available.
Finally, the caramel apple donut is a yeast style donut filled with apple pie filling then frosted with caramel and topped with butter crunch.
The special-edition donuts will be available through September.
