The Daily Item wants to recognize the hard work of our readers in a variety of ways. Whether you are mentoring youth or making your community a better place, we notice. As the sun continues to shine and the winter months creep ahead, we want to highlight the work within the perimeter of your own yard.
For three weeks, we will feature a garden of the week.
This week’s garden is from Jim Moser and Bill Mulcahy, who are Lynn residents who began their garden five years ago when they moved to the city.
At first, there was nothing. Five years later, there are hundreds and hundreds of plants, said Moser.
Located on Euclid Avenue, the grounds include a rock, poolside, and even a meditation garden.
Their hilltop garden overlooking Flax Pond has been added to more each year by the two, who find gardening rewarding and peaceful.
For people unsure about how to start their garden, Moser said the best advice is to just dig right in.
“We’ve done it because it’s very rewarding and peaceful,” he said.
