A report of a car into a building at 9:03 a.m. Tuesday on Elm Street. The driver was issued a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign and was given a verbal warning for the rejected inspection sticker.
Breaking and Entering
A report of a breaking and entering at 12:16 p.m. Tuesday on Community Road. A caller reported someone had broken in over the weekend. He later discovered that another window was damaged and was concerned that someone had broken in again on Monday night.
Complaints
A report of a smashed mailbox at 5:08 p.m. Tuesday on Seaview Avenue. A caller reported that the house at 99 has been abandoned for three years and that within the past 24 hours, someone had smashed the plastic mailbox by ripping off part of it and possibly hitting it with a hammer. Police reported the damage was done when a tree either fell down or was cut down.
A report of a suspicious truck at 9:16 p.m. Tuesday on Tioga Way. A caller reported a man in a white truck hanging out was making her nervous. She was closing the gym and he was watching her. Police reported the only man in the area was an employee of Gover Properties.
Theft
A report of two stolen bikes at 4:21 p.m. Tuesday on Shepard Street. A caller reported two bikes were taken from his backyard.

A report of an attempted breaking and entering at 2:29 a.m. Wednesday at 84 Newhall Ave. A caller reported someone was attempting to break into their apartment. Police reported it appeared to be the same caller from last week and that the person was using an untraceable cell phone. Police checked the residence and surrounding area and didn’t find anything.

A caller reported a man in a car was holding up a sign that read “call police” Police reported speaking with the car owner who didn’t realize what the other side of the cardboard said; at 2:42 a.m. Wednesday at 75 Newhall Ave. A caller reported someone was trying to break into his home and he was upstairs hiding in his bedroom. Police reported speaking to the homeowner, who reported there were no issues at the residence.
