Arrests

Nichole Guidry, 27, of 459 Elliott St., Beverly, was arrested and charged with Class C drug possession and on warrant charges of larceny of a motor vehicle and operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license at 4:22 a.m. Wednesday.

Cheryl Kenney, of 126 Union St., was arrested on warrant charges of receiving stolen property and larceny by false pretense at 4:41 p.m. Tuesday.

Melanie Serino, of 103 Liberty St., was arrested on warrant charges of trespassing and larceny at 4:43 p.m. Tuesday.

Accidents

A report of a car into a building at 9:03 a.m. Tuesday on Elm Street. The driver was issued a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign and was given a verbal warning for the rejected inspection sticker.

Breaking and Entering

A report of a breaking and entering at 12:16 p.m. Tuesday on Community Road. A caller reported someone had broken in over the weekend. He later discovered that another window was damaged and was concerned that someone had broken in again on Monday night.

Complaints

A report of a smashed mailbox at 5:08 p.m. Tuesday on Seaview Avenue. A caller reported that the house at 99 has been abandoned for three years and that within the past 24 hours, someone had smashed the plastic mailbox by ripping off part of it and possibly hitting it with a hammer. Police reported the damage was done when a tree either fell down or was cut down.

A report of a suspicious truck at 9:16 p.m. Tuesday on Tioga Way. A caller reported a man in a white truck hanging out was making her nervous. She was closing the gym and he was watching her. Police reported the only man in the area was an employee of Gover Properties.

Theft

A report of two stolen bikes at 4:21 p.m. Tuesday on Shepard Street. A caller reported two bikes were taken from his backyard.

Nicholas E. Hegner, 28, of 52 Allston St., was arrested on warrants at 4:26 p.m. Tuesday.

Scott C. Mehlinger, 30, of 193 Rice Ave., was arrested and charged with violation of an abuse prevention order at 11:44 p.m. Tuesday.

Tony Tiger Thiem, 22, of 145 Curwin Circle, Lynn, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon at 12:16 a.m. Tuesday.

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 7:36 a.m. Tuesday on Mountain Avenue; at 8:06 a.m. Tuesday at Registry of Motor Vehicles on Everett Street; at 1:08 p.m. Tuesday on Brown Circle.

A report of a motor vehicle hit and run accident at 3:36 p.m. Tuesday on Broadway.

Vandalism

A report of vandalism at 1:34 a.m. Tuesday at Bill Ash’s Lounge on Revere Beach Boulevard. Edward J. Distefano, 21, of 22 Whitin Ave., was summoned for malicious destruction of property.

Accidents

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 4:08 p.m. Tuesday at Macy’s/Square One Mall at 1201 Broadway. One person was taken to Melrose Wakefield Hospital; at 6:17 p.m. Tuesday at Quick Lane at 1373 Broadway; at 11:21 p.m. Tuesday at LA Fitness at 1450 Broadway.

A report of a motor vehicle accident with personal injury at 6:44 a.m. Wednesday at 64 School St.

Breaking and Entering

A report of a motor vehicle breaking and entering at 7:39 a.m. Tuesday at 8 Greenwood Ave.

A report of an attempted breaking and entering at 2:29 a.m. Wednesday at 84 Newhall Ave. A caller reported someone was attempting to break into their apartment. Police reported it appeared to be the same caller from last week and that the person was using an untraceable cell phone. Police checked the residence and surrounding area and didn’t find anything.

Complaints

A report of a disturbance at 7:11 p.m. Tuesday at PetSmart at 358 Broadway. A caller reported a woman was panhandling at the entrance; at 9:55 p.m. Tuesday at the playground on Bristow Street.

A report of suspicious activity at 8:34 p.m. Tuesday at Walmart at 770 Broadway. A caller reported a man in a car was holding up a sign that read “call police” Police reported speaking with the car owner who didn’t realize what the other side of the cardboard said; at 2:42 a.m. Wednesday at 75 Newhall Ave. A caller reported someone was trying to break into his home and he was upstairs hiding in his bedroom. Police reported speaking to the homeowner, who reported there were no issues at the residence.

Theft

A report of motor vehicle theft at 7:16 a.m. Tuesday at 30 Ballard St. A caller reported his car was stolen out of his driveway sometime overnight.

Vandalism

A report of vandalism at 7:58 a.m. Tuesday at 27 Spring St. A caller reported someone has thrown ice cream onto her car.
