LYNN — Two women were robbed at gunpoint on Sunday night.
Police responded to a robbery shortly before 11 p.m. and learned that two Lynn women — 21 and 23 years old — were sitting in a car at the corner of Roseville Square and Shepard Street when they were approached by a man who asked them for cigarette, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
When the women didn’t have a cigarette, the man asked the pair if they had any money, and was told no again, Kmiec said.
The man then pulled out a silver handgun, pointed it at the women, and demanded money, asking “how about now, do you have any money now?” The man made off with a very small amount of money, Kmiec said.
The incident is under investigation.
