LYNN — A 2-year-old toddler fell off the 15-foot seawall onto the rocks at Red Rock Park on Tuesday night, police said.
Shortly before 6:30 p.m., State Police responded to the area of Red Rock Park on a report of a male toddler who fell from the seawall onto the rocks below on the beach side of the wall, State Police spokesman David Procopio said.
Procopio said the boy was taken to North Shore Children’s Hospital and then to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious injuries. On Wednesday, the child was in stable condition, he added.
“The incident is not considered suspicious,” Procopio said. “Parents are urged to be mindful of not letting their children onto walls, especially those with a steep drop, like the one at Red Rock.”
Lynn Police and Fire also responded to the scene.
