Complaints
A report of graffiti on the wall at 8:43 a.m. Friday on Ocean Avenue. Police got word that there was new graffiti on the wall. Nothing was found after an officer walked the length of the seawall.
A lot attendant reported feeling threatened at 1:41 p.m. Friday on Phillips Street. A caller reported that the previous week, the female lot attendant was “confronted” and “threatened” by a person who came off the beach. The caller stated that the threats were racist in nature and wondered if police were aware of anyone in town who would do that sort of thing. A caller reported that after reading in the paper about the boy being approached by the man from the tracks, they think it is the same man who confronted the parking attendant.
A report of suspicious activity at 6:44 p.m. Friday on Pleasant Street. A caller reported that there was a very loud knocking on her door. She asked who it was and said the man told her it was Verizon. She asked why he was there and he told her it was to check the wires. She stated that the man sounded “high or drunk” and “sounded creepy.” Police reported that the mailman did see Verizon employees leaving the building, which satisfied the caller.
A report of a noose near the wharf at 8:54 a.m. Saturday on Commercial Street. A caller reported he was at the yacht club the prior night and noticed a noose hanging from the area of the wharf. He didn’t know if it was intentional but thought it should be removed. Police reported it wasn’t a noose, but was part of the rope that holds the gangplank up in the winter.
Theft
A report of a stolen child’s bike at 9:14 a.m. Friday on Barry Road. A family member reported that a small red child’s bike had been left on the side of the trail while the kids were playing chase in Steer Swamp. When they went back, the bike was gone. The bike was later found and voicemail was left for the owner.

A report of suspicious activity at 10:34 a.m. Saturday at Latitude Sports Club at 194 Newbury St. A caller reported two men were looking into parked vehicles. An officer reported one of the men was an employee of the gym, but was unable to find the other person. Nothing appeared out of the ordinary; at 11:13 p.m. Saturday at 21 Franklin St.
A caller reported kids egged her house; at 12:44 p.m. Sunday at Peabody Shell at 85 Lynnfield St. An employer wanted to report past possible drug activity. The employee thought that someone may have been doing drugs in the bathroom.
Two domesticated rabbits were reportedly running free in the parking lot at 4:40 p.m. Saturday at 111 Foster St. One bunny was caught and taken to Taylormade Grooming Salon. The business would watch the bunny for as long as possible. Police reported the business was watching one bunny, but the other bunny got away and police could not catch it.
Theft
A report of a robbery at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at 4 Mill St. A caller reported that $400 was taken from him while he was sleeping. He suspects the people responsible were his friend and his friend’s girlfriend, as they reportedly threatened to harm the caller if he reported the theft to the police. The caller was taken to Salem Hospital after an evaluation by EMS.

A report of vandalism at 1:27 p.m. Saturday at 14 Judith Road. A caller reported that his house was struck by eggs sometime overnight; at 9:59 a.m. Sunday at 34 Northend St. A caller reported an unknown person put a screwdriver through the hood of a car. Another car also had a hole put in the hood.
