REVERE — A driver who fell asleep at the wheel crashed into an apartment building at 1129 North Shore Road in Wednesday morning, injuring the driver and two occupants, police said.
When police arrived, they found a black Volkswagen Jetta inside an apartment and the driver, Robert Callahan, 25, bleeding from a head wound.
Callahan told police he didn’t know what happened but “fell asleep and woke up in the building.”
A female occupant of the dwelling, Sanna Louardi, told police that her son was asleep in a nearby bedroom and was injured in the crash. Also hurt was Farid Mezghab. They were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.
The apartment had substantial property damage and was boarded up by the building inspector, police said.
