Anthony Silfa had 24 points in English’s win over Gloucester

Senior Anthony Silfa scored 24 points to help lift the Bulldogs over Gloucester, 84-61, on Tuesday night Javaris Hill recorded 10 points and several steals and rebounds to assist his team’s offensive production. Abraham Diaz played his second strong game in a row for English (7-3), recording 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Shawsheen Tech 64, Lynn Tech 62
Senior guard Michael Anaya was the leading scorer for the Tigers (2-8) with 19 points. He also added five assists in the loss. Senior guard Arlin Reynoso hit five three-pointers to finish with 15 points, and senior center Justin Lewis recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
KIPP 57, Prospect Hill 48
Sophomore guard Dominic Jette was the leading scorer for KIPP (7-2) with 21 points. Dave Metelus had 18 points and eight rebounds, while freshman Nate Mehu added eight points and 16 rebounds.
Revere 62, Swampscott 56
Freshman Marcus Brunson was the leading scorer for the Patriots (1-7) with 16 points. Gerald Charles was right behind with 15 points, followed by senior guard Will Bell with 14.
Senior captain Nick Scibelli was the leader for Swampscott (1-8) with 20 points, 12 rebounds and four steals. Senior captain Brandon Byrne also had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Jack Porter had 14 points, seven rebounds and four steals.
Salem 69, Peabody 43
The Witches (9-0) continued their undefeated streak with a win over the Tanners. Ricky Arias led Salem with 27 points and seven rebounds. Alex Sanchez had 17 points, six assists, five rebounds and five steals to mark a strong all-around offensive effort for him. Jhonel Roberts had 12 points and 13 boards, while Kelven Perpetuo had 10 points for Salem.
Beverly 59, Marblehead 55
The Panthers were led by Pat Gavin, who finished with 21 points and eight rebounds. Kyle Coughlin chipped in with 15 points and five assists, while Sam Traicoff contributed 12 points. Hugh Calice and John Loreti had solid games on defense.
“It was a great defensive effort for us tonight,” said Beverly coach Scott Lewis.
The Magicians (4-4) saw a great effort from senior captain Ted Bostley, who scored 18 points and had six rebounds. Sophomore Derek Marino had 13 points, 10 rebounds, and four steals for Marblehead as well.
